Iphone 3gs Unlock BaseBand 05.14.02

Hello all i have some question.
I stuck on BB 05.14.02 and cant unlock now, but i want ask you if I had saved OLD BaseBand 05.13.04 SHSH can i unlock then? I think you understand me.

You can't downgrade the baseband. You have to upgrade it to the iPad baseband of 6.15.00. Understand there is a possible risk of losing GPS function if you choose to do so.

Once updating baseband to 6.15 its guaranteed that you will lose gps but maps will still work because its dependant of wifi or cell towers to triangulate location .

I'm in the same boat as OP. I'm stuck on 4.2.1 w/ 5.15.4 which an unlock isn't avaliable as of yet. If I up grade to iPad 6.15, what else would I lose other than GPS? Once a true unlock for 5.15.4 is available would I be able to go back and get GPS and other things that I might have lost with 6.15?

BTW first post. Been lurking and researching for the last month.

Once you update to 6.15bb you will not be able to alter it to a "normal" baseband at this time. As far as Im aware the only thing you're gonna lose is gps when updating to 6.15bb. And its hard to say whether or not a true unlock will be available for 5.15.xx Do you need to unlock?

The downgrading BB may never happen. If you are in desperate need to unlock to use the iphone, then go for it as the losing of GPS function only occurs to a small percentage of those with ipad bb, meaning most with ipad BB still have the normal GPS function.

I believe that this is not actually the case...everyone that has upgraded to bb 6.15 has lost GPS functionality..they just believe it is still working since Google maps uses cell tower triangulation...but the GPS is definitely off...

The only way you can ever set your baseband back to an iPhone baseband is if apple upgrades it past 6.15.00. It can go up but not down. So it's unlikely that you can get your gps function back unless apple does it soon. If you've got some patience, wait for another unlock.

i have two iphone 3gs , one iphone 3gs has 4.1FW, BB 05.13.04 (unlocked all working fine) and another iphone 3gs 4.1FW, BB 05.14.02 (no unlock yet) can i something do in this situation?

You can either upgrade your baseband to unlock and lose gps function or you can wait for another unlock which is at the moment undetermined.

When updating to ipad bb iPhone users will lose gps functionality. The maps app is misleading to many. Any user who uses a true gps like the tom-tom app report loss of gps.

hm i understand, but i searching in google and goes through Dev-teams webs and see that unlock will be when Ios 4.3 came officialy and official date realise this Ios version is 14 february that means that unlock will came maybe in this week i think you understand me ;/

Dev team is working on an unlock for iPhone 4 baseband, not too sure if they are working on a true unlock for 5.14.xx or 5.15.xx Do you think you will use a gps app alot?

Yes that's true even if a purchaser will never use gps they will always want the option to. Wait until iOS 4.3 is released and hopefully an unlock follows that can be used with your iPhone.

I'm almost certain they are working on the unlock for iPhone 4 since it hasn't had one in a while. But hey you never know of they'll have one for the other phones too.
