    Default Baseband 5.15.04

Is it possible to extract the 5.15.04 baseband from a working unlocked 3GS?

Just wondering, because I know that a custom ispw can be made from a working 3GS.

    Any thoughts?

    That baseband isn't unlockable...

Aside from that fact, I'm pretty sure that's not possible.

I currently have that on my 16gig 3GS 4.2.1, so your saying it's not unlocked, but I'm running Cydia on it with no problems.

If redsnow has the iPad baseband.. Then where did that come from? Plus if the phone is built, then someone has to have the baseband to put it on the phone. I understand it all comes from apple, but some where or some how, they, were able to get that baseband. Just saying.

Ask the devs how they flashed the baseband. The hardware the iPad runs is for the baseband is the same as the 3GS/3G so it is possible. The exact technicalities I can't explain.

But the baseband is irrelevant to jailbreaking, in case that matters. The firmware is what matters to jb.
