Alright, its gettin' late so I'm going to end here but before I loose you (and thank you btw, big help already so far!!!)
I'll download fuzzyband, it will automatically downgrade the baseband for me? Do I have a choice as to what I'm downgraded to?
Once I'm downgraded on the baseband side, what version should I be running? and what do I use to unlock it (redsn0w or other?)?
Thanks again. Can I come find you tomorrow and pick this back up if I get stuck? Maybe by PM?

I'll be here tomorrow. On every day. You can post here and I will see it.
I think Fuzzyband downgrades to 5.13.04 now, not 100%. After it does you can install ultrasnow from cydia to unlock.

one last thing, when I DL fuzzy from Cydia do I have to do anything or is it self servicing?
I hear the 6.15 is unstable for GPS and I really need it no be stablle, trying to keep from going there until 6.15 has been exploited by those that have a clue (I'm not one of them)Last edited by Itbracer54; 02-01-2011 at 09:25 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Fuzzyband is pretty easy to use. You won't need the iPad baseband since you can downgrade baseband so don't worry about your gps.

I DL'd fuzzy but there was no change, do I need to "run" it somehow after DL'g it?
Do I sound like a complete tard yet?
You want to talk about modifying you car and setting it up for optimum track use, I'm your guy, this programming thing is Greek to me.

okay I'm back and here's the deal. I open Fuzzy and it tells me it can't run on my 3.1.3 says I have to be on 2.1.2 or earlier.
I have downloaded 2.1 and have tried to restore to it to no avail
I've tried so many avenues for doing this and am now completely confused!!!
Can I ask for either a step by step to accomplish getting this damn phone unlocked and on my t-mobile sim, or at least a link by link list of GOOD known to work instructions to follow?
I am soooo out of my pay grade here, but I know I can do this with the right direction.......please help my sorry ***
So to recap:
3g 16GB running currently 3.1.3 with 5.15.04 BB

I have been warned not to do that. Unstable GPS and no ability to go back if things don't work out.
Its bad enough I'm out of my league, can I not just get instructions for downgrading and getting through this process?
