trying to unlock
Here's where I'm at:
iphone 3g
firmware 3.1.3
jailbroken with redsn0w 0.9.4
baseband 06.15.00
bootloader 6.4
Someone suggested to me that ultrasn0w might not work with this firmware and baseband. Is that true? What are my options?
I checked the thread about unlocking and saw this:
6.15.00 Custom Firmware or redsnow method yes (Ultrasn0w)
Can someone point me in the right direction for this? Help is much appreciated, thanks.Last edited by itskerem; 01-25-2011 at 09:19 PM.

What I forgot to say was that I did install ultrasn0w. Put my SIM in and just got "searching..." or "no service."
I tried some more, and I actually briefly got service. I'm mostly getting no service though. My service was poor previously with the 4ios, but it's even worse now! I have 3g and wifi turned off.

Did you have 3G turned off before you unlocked?

Reboot and wait a while for it to kick in. Wait time can range from 5-30 minutes. I once waited 15 minutes for the unlock to kick in for a T-Mobile user

Hard to say, you could always try to restore and rejb or uninstall and reinstall Ultrasn0w. But this problem isn't rare among the 6.15.00 bb users.

Go into Cydia>Manage> Uninstall UltraSnow> Take your Sim card out> Reboot Phone and reopen Cydia> PUT SIM CARD BACK IN(important) > RE-install ultrasnow with sim card IN !
Will work fine-you might have to toggle airplane mode on/off but I didn't....
SIM car has to be in the phone when you install Ultrasn0w....trust me I did it without and it didn't work.....
hope this helps!!
BTW my 3g has 3.1.3 FW unlocked and Jailbroken with a 6.15.00 BaseBand (ipad)Give a thanks if I was helpful!!
