IP4 on 4.2.1

Upgraded recently to 4.2.1 but my baseband stayed unchanged. Just wondering if there is any specific reason for it not going up to 3.10.04?

If you need unlock. by goin to 3.10.04 you will lose your unlock

So on RedmonPie.. they has the jailbreak (untethered) for 4.2.1, but the link is broken.. YAY! anyone have a working link?

4.2.1 untethered only for old idevices and old bootrom only

Tethered for new bootrom 3GS and iPhone 4
