Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1 delayed yet again!

A recent tweet from @comex of the iPhone Dev team suggests that he may wait for the release of the Verizon iPhone 4 before releasing his untethered jailbreak exploit. Now, the entire iPhone community has to wait till Verizon iPhone 4 hits the shelves on February 10th, 2011. The statement arrived after Verizon iPhone 4 was announced and Apple seeded iOS 4.3 beta.

Dude, you can just jailbreak it, but the unlock you have to wait 6 more months to unlock it....

But what you need to jailbreak your iPhone 4;

I cant take it anymore..one more lie and its bye apple for life..taken, these people r working to help us with the unlock, i wouldnt mind donating sumthing reasonable for the goodwork but come on 'No, its coming tmrw', 'Sorry, we r still working on it, surely it'll be here in a weeks time, definately' and now 'We have to wait till some ios 4.2.5 or 4.3 comes out?'..I feel we are like puppets strung abt by these dev team..If there was anoda way to buy and download the software to unlock my iphn4, i would've done so..Jeez! give us a break already...

I wouldn't say they're lies. It's for the benefit of the community as a whole. If the devs had to release an unlock for everytime a baseband upgrade occurs, they'd be working overtime and technically they work for free. It's not about payment, it's about being considerate of everyone and not just those in need right now.

If an unlock releases now when 4.3 is so near, the people who get new iPhones might get stuck with 4.3 out of box and can't unlock. And then theres the new group who need an unlock and can't and gripe about it. You can't expect to tell people hey, the new unlock is now, go buy your iPhones now before 4.3 comes out or else.
