Anyway, seems like the Dev Team are losing their grip! Hope to be proven wrong (SOON) but since after firmware 3x it's taken them progressively longer to make the jailbreak & unlock, specially for iPhone 4.

I think so as well. It's obvious the Iphone 4 has them confused but I'm also hearing that the unlock will be out by January 16, 2011 then again I heard the same thing in December and now it's now a new year. So I guess those of us who still own this brick will just have to sell it as it is worthless or just a very expensive iTouch device.

A. Unlock and jailbreak has ALWAYS taken a long time.

B. The Dev team work for free, and donation free

C. Your retarded if you have an unlocked iPhone, and not a single spare phone to use in these situations.

D. Your retarded for updating your phone, or buying a phone and expecting an unlock, before reading ANYTHING the dev team has been posting for years upon years, do your research BEFORE you make a purchase and if you rely on unlock / jailbreak, ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS do your research before updating the firmware. And if you had to have your phone replaced, you know consequences of getting a new one

E. The reason its taking "longer" is because there are MORE devices now. every year apple adds about 3 different models to the line up, the dev team are forced to work on the new devices, yet keeping up with the old devices as well.

F. If you can't read simple directions or don't think its fair to wait 3 months for a reliable jailbreak / unlock, and don't take the time to learn how to code or program to MAYBE help the devs themselves. You NEED to be in the general public with carrier locked phones, as you obviously cannot handle simple instructions.

Sorry for the rant, it just bothers me that people really feel once they get ANY i Device they are automatically obligated to have a jailbreak / unlock specially catered for them.

Sell your phone, buy the right phone for your company, or I know most people will say "But i'd love to donate" Well then put your money where your mouth is, sell your phone and buy a factory unlocked one, then STFU.

i did sell my phone .. and couldnt be happier. . its not that there is no unlock its that they are giving zero information. . and I live overseas and brought my USA phone here and now it doesnt work. .

no biggie for me as I sold it for more than i bought it for and now i have a new phone to play with. . but u have to understand peoples frustration.. .

dev team purposely build themselves up as this great unlocking team and mislead people. . im sure they have reaped some benefits from there work. .

dev team should just come out and say. . we are stumped. . we are not as smart as we thought. . instead they are unlocking old 3g phones and using tethers and ipad basebands ect. . and stringing people along. .

dev team is all happy and willing to take praise when they do things right but the second they get question they start acting like *******. . .

this thread was more a shot at iphones in general. .I mean the iphone sucks if u do any international traveling at all. . pay all that money for a phone and cant even pop in a different sim overseas. . dont be mad at me that ur brainwashed into the monopoly that apple has created around there over hyped phone
