Want to upgrade new bootroom 3GS without losing unlock, confused...
I have a used iPhone 3GS with new bootroom running 4.0.1 right now. I want to upgrade to the latest version which will allow an unlock.
Huge problem though.
The phone is locked to a UK carrier and I will not be able to get a hold of the original sim card
What do I need to do? I have SHSH on file for 4.1 and 4.2.1

On windows use snowbreeze to make a custom 4.1 and restore to that to preserve your baseband. On mac use pwnage tool.
