Failing to activate/unlock GS3

Hey, I have after a long time finaly got to the point where i have used af custom FW from Pwnagetools og then installed it with Redsn0w because I cannot use itunes U(it says it does not rec. my SIM card).
I have opdated to ipad baseband, and I have installed SAM and Ultrasn0w from the phone, and it rec my SIM og phone company... But... I cannot call! And in SAM it says "ActivationState: unactivated"... Someone knows how to deal with this, pleace respond.

redsnow cannot restore firmware. Only itunes can do that.

sorry.. i have installed my custom FW with itunes.. But it will not activate me...!

Hmm, I never got the "factory activated" in the first place (step 19), and itunes doesn't like my SIM either... But I will give it a go... Or maybe try starting all over again (I rather not, but if that's the only option)..

Does it have anything to say that when I reinstall SAM from cydia my phone goes straight into safe mode... And BTW the fact that in wasn't factory activated after I installed SAM the first time?

... Okay, now i've installed SAM again, and itunes said invalid SIM, so i did it manually, but it still says unactivated. Any ideas?

not too sure sorry. I have only used SAM once myself and it went fine. I normally activate with a official carrier sim.

... OK, I've missed i little detail.. That I should have used the original SIM cards credentials to activate the phone.. So that is done now... And the phone recognizes my carrier, though it is not the same as the original.
But but but, I stille can't make a phone call or anything, so something still isn't right. Any clues?

Not sure why you wouldnt be able to make calls, have you tried resetting network settings?

That is stange, do you have push notifications enabled?

This is a phone I just got used when my old phone was stolen a week ago, and the SIM card is one of them you by in a supermarked with no real subscription, while i'm waiting for my new SIM card... Don't know is that has something to do with it... But then i'm a litlle puzzled that I can text but, when I call, I lookes like it says "calling" but after i while it dosn't get through...

Try turning off 3G

_Hmm, there is a difference... When 3G is on it goes out immediately, but with 3G off, it kind "tries" but with no result at the end. It says "calling" for about 10 sec, but it's like it doesn't have a clear signal, so it never hookes up...

Weird. Did you restore from backup after your last restore? Also try rebooting after turning 3G off.

No, I installed a new opgrade... And I just toggled the 3G on and off right now, I took it off i while back, så I have had it resat a couple of times by now...

Maybe try a different sim card
