Need help with iphone 3G 4.2.1

Was unlocking this iphone 3G for a friend it's current firmware was 4.2.1 without unlock, ultrasn0w wouldnt unlock so I updated to BB to ipad baseband through redsn0w. It finished, I placed in Tmobile SIM it picked up signal and said 'Tmobile' and would not hacktivate, even though I selected "deactivate" in redsn0w options. Now I figured I did something wrong so I attempted to restore using a 4.2.1 image base from apple, and now it just says connect to itunes. I've tried multiple times with redsn0w again and it just sits in recovery mode now

I don't even have a mac, is there a custom firmware to restore with that I should take a look at, what do I do? HELP

Since you updated the bb to ipad baseband, you won't be able to go back to 4.2.1 stock... You'll need a custom 4.2.1 to restore.
