Baseband downgrade

I accidentaly upgraded my iphone 3g to ios4.
i then downgraded to 3.1.2 and jailbroke\unlocked with blackra1n.
now my simcard wont work on it..

Bootloader 05.09
Baseband 05.14.02

is there any way to downgrade my baseband? Fuzzyband wont work because of bootloader version. is there a way to downgrade bootloader?

i am kinda new to the whole jailbreaking\unlocking thing.

any help is greatly appreciated!
also i will need hacktivation with any jailbreak...

Nope, no way to downgrade your baseband. The iPad baseband is the only way to unlock if on that baseband right now.

There may not be an unlock for 5.14.02. Ipad baseband is the only way to go for now.

why do you think that there will not be an unlock for 5.14.2? And why have apple made it so you cannot downgrade the baseband? I have an iphone 3g and IOS runs so slow on it. Looks like im going to be stuffed

Right now the dev team is focusing on the iPhone 4 unlock, they arent even looking into the 5.14 one anymore because they put the ipad baseband workaround out.

so for the baseband workaround to work i would need to upgrade to 4.2 and then what?

You can go to 4.1 or 4.2.1, then use redsnow 0.9.6rc8 to update to the ipad baseband.

yeah ive had to do that already. But if i go back to 3.1.3 after installing the dev team ipad baseband hack will my phone still be no service?
