iPhone 3GS, new bootrom, 3.1.3, 05.12.01 - Can I go to ios 4.0?

I have another iPhone. It has been jailbroken via Jailbreakme.com and unlocked (Ultrasn0w).

I want to update to 4.0 (or 4.1, 4.2, etc.), what can I do?
I tried the Pwnage 4.1.3, but I can't get past the "Verifying with Apple" part. It says my device cannot use that software.

Cydia says I have a "pending TSS request"

What can I do?

You must have 4.0 or 4.1 shsh blob before you can restore to these firmware.

And how do I get the 4.0/4.1 shsh blob? Is that what the "pending TSS" doing? Is it saving my shsh?

Or do I just wait until the newest Pwnage tool comes out?

Use Tiny Umbrella to see which SHSH blobs are available for your device. You can load iOS for only the versions where SHSH blobs were saved.

Best off staying on 3.1.3 for now untill new untether Jb is released for 4.2.1 just jbbwith spirit unlock with unltrasn0w add this repo to cydia repo.insanelyi.com and dl stack for folders.
