Glad to hear it worked. You will have to repeat the process each time you turn it off, you will also have to do it if you install an app which reboots the phone.

Alright, now that I finally got it to turn on...it's saying "invalid sim" when I put my sim card in. The firmware is 3.10.01....can this even be unlocked. Or did this guy just sell me an iphone that's not unlocked at all?

What's the baseband?

You might have updated the phone to the latest firmware and baseband.
You said the phone was working a few days ago and it was unlocked.
the baseband 3.10.1 cannot be unlocked at this time.
If you plugged the phone into itunes and did an update it would have wiped out the unlock. It is software based and not permanent.

Is firmware and baseband not the same thing? 3.10.01 is the firmware
So can I change it to another baseband or I'm pretty much stuck?Last edited by cardinal16; 01-03-2011 at 03:09 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Nope your stuck if you return it and swap it more than likely your going to get one with 2.10 baseband which is still isn't unlockable either
