Unlock not working

I have a 3gs with the new 6.15.00bb. It is jailbroken with redsnow and I have attempted a few times to unlock so it can be used on tmobile. I go to download ultrasnow 1.2 and install. It reboots and gets stuck on apple logo. I have tried this a few times and keep getting the same result. Any ideas how to get this working?

You have a tethered jailbreak and need to connect the phone to your computer and run redsn0w everytime you boot the phone.

Yes I keep it connected the entire time. I use redsnow to reboot in tethered to get cyadia to work and download ultrasnow.

After you install ultrasnow and get stuck at the apple logo are you then using redsnow and choosing the boot tethered option?

iPhones are not unlocked that way...
