3gs 5.11.07 bootloader 6.4 want to go 4.1 but need unlock

I'm confused and need help. I want to update to 4.1, but haven't found the right answers. I've read 100 posts about what to do and there doesn't seem to be a cohesive answer. I read the sticky also. I have...

3gs: 3.1.2
baseband: 5.11.07
bootloader: 6.4
model: mc135
tethered (forecast): no
jailbroken/unlock: yes (blackrain)

cydia says I have shsh: 3.1, 3.1.2, 3.1.3, 4.0, 4.0.1, 4.0.2, 4.1

I would like to go to 4.1 but I have to have my unlock.

It looks like I can use a custom firmware to update to 4.1 and j/b with greenpoison. Then unlock with pwnage?

I can wait longer for a 4.2 unlock, but would like to update. Thanks for any help.

what type of computer do you have? (win or mac) if windows download snowbreeze 2.1 and create a custom firmware. if mac download pwntool to create one. custom firmware wont update basebands, so u would still be able to use ultrasnow for unlock when u finish upgrading with custom firmware.

I did read another post about using ultrasnow for the unlock. So then...

custom firmware with snowbreeze
jailbreak with limerain or greenpoison
unlock with ultrasnow

The custom 4.1 you make with snowbreeze is prejailbroken so no need to use limerain or greenpoison after. Just install ultrasnow from cydia after the restore.
