thanks it worked.
Only bug is that "map" cannot determine the location without sim.
I have tried the application without sim on my other phone and it works.
So guess ths method does affect the gps

Were you on wifi on your other phone? iPhone can determine location via wifi as well. iPhone should not be able to use gps over 3g under any circumstance without a sim.
Ps: I know you're likely to lose gps with this unlock solution, but i've done 2 phones this way and both seem to work...so far... And in any case a fix should be out for it relatively soon... Donate to dev team.

both phones were on wifi, using the same wifi, both of them without sim in my test

on the 4.2.1 map only got my location when I put the sim back on the phone

Hmm... Dunno man. Like I said, I'm no expert, but it does seem likely you have an issue with the unlock. But, hopefully a fix will come out. If it makes you feel any better (probably not?), I lost the proximity sensor function on one of mine when I unlocked. Just quirky. At least it works. And it's not like the gps on these phones (except the 4) are very good anyway.

i am using 3g and i have 5.11.07 baseband..
am not sure but i read somewhere that it's unlockable..
is that true? then should i use the ipad baseband?

Absolutely not. Only those with non-unlockable basebands (above 5.13.whatever) have to upgrade. If you have cydia already just download ultrasn0w (you must add the correct repo, I think it's repo666.ultrasn0w.com but I'm not sure off the top of my head) and it should unlock. If you don't have cydia go to jailbreakme.com on your phone and follow instructions then get ultrasn0w on cydia.

As long as your baseband is above 05.13.04 and you have to have an unlock this is what you should use. Be aware that the odds are extremely good you will lose some or all gps functionality and possibly proximity sensor. (I had this problem and have heard of some others, but it does not seem common. Also on 4.x there is a workaround for it. CallLock on cydia.) Follow the instructions exactly and you should have no problems.

Download a pwnagetool custom activated firmware for 4.1/4.2.1. Use redsnow to put it into pwn'd dfu mode and then shift+restore to the custom firware in itunes. Then just install ultrasnow from cydia.

If you have problems with battery/push then use SAM method to activate afterwards.

there's only one problem, am running on windows.. pwnagetool is only for mac.

Those instructions are for pc not mac. Just find a custom firmware via google. If you can't find one pm me and I can send you one tomorrow.
