dead iphone

Hi everyone. I need your help badly. My iPhone is successfully unlocked and I have been using it for almost a week. But my iphone suddenly turned off. I tried recharging it and connecting to my PC but still it won't turn on. please help me about this. I am a newbie and this is my first time of having an iPhone. Thanx in advance!

Try a hard reset. Try holding home and power button for 10-15 seconds then release. Try powering on as normal.

If not, try plugging phone into your comp and restarting your computer. I had this happen once and the computer rebooting somehow jumped the phone back up.

If this all fails, I'm not sure. You might have to take it to Apple.

Hi i.Annie! thank you for the quick reply.I tried everything you told me but the iPhone is still the same. There is still no power or I still couldn't turn it on

Unfortunately it seems like the battery is dead. You might consider replacing the battery.

is it possible for the battery to be dead,though if just bought the iphone? this iphone was bought last october

It's possible. I've seen people who have their phones for a year before the battery dies. I've seen people who had it for 6 months and it died. My iPhone 3G battery lasted me 2 years and is still fine when I sold it last month. It's really not predictable.

i tried recharging my phone using the wall socket charger. after an hour of charging it turned on but only a white blank screen. when i pressed the power button it turned off and back to the problem. It wont turn on.

Well you could try to replace the battery or take it to Apple. That's the best I can say. It seems like a hardware failure more than anything.
