Hmm, sucessful iPhone 4 unlock?
My sister has a iPhone 4 with 4.1 which I jailbroke about a month ago (forgot which program did it). Installed ultrasn0w 1.2 via Cydia, put my sim in there and T-Mobile works
One thing, under Settings/About her phone says Carrier: AT&T 8.0(she has baseband 01.59.00 on 4.1, compared to mine which just says Carrier: 7.0(4.0 software). Is it stable or should I have her wait for an official 4.2 jailbreak/unlock.
EDIT: It is unstable, I had the signal for the first 5 minutes, restarted the phone to make sure it was working fine and I couldn't get a signal again

It can be unlocked at that baseband so it is indeed unlocked. If it is bugging out, consider reinstalling ultrasn0w or restoring and rejb and install ultrasn0w again

Do I have to upgrade to 4.2 to do that? Last time I tried restoring it wouldn't let me and kept giving me an error. IIRC I did something to keep that baseband as she previous had 4.X but it was not unlockable at the time (was told they're just going to wait for 4.1) Now here we are she's on 4.1 and can't unlock.

I don't use Ultrasn0w on my iphone 4, i have a factory unlock.
Just observe your signal, this is a true reporting signal.

Hard reset : Hold both buttons until it reboots or turn ON/OFF 3g.

Let it sit for like 15 minutes, it has signal again. Should I be worried or something? God forbid shes using this phone and something happens then she has no signal..

This is a software unlock, if you have a factory unlocked, then this problem wouldn't exist, be happy for now.
