    Default Newbie with simple questions

    Hi all,
I just purchased the ip4 and would like to jailbreak (what does this mean? Lol) and unlock it for t-mobile. I upgraded to the new 4.2 os, and after doing some reading on this site and googling, I'm thinking this wasn't a good idea bc of tethering (idk what this is either). I basically need help lol. Any would be greatly appreciated.

You wont be able to unlock a iPhone 4 on 4.2.1. Dev team are working on a unlock now, no ETA though.

Wow. So that upgrade WAS a bad idea huh? No way to downgrade? My only option is using AT&T?

No way to downgrade your baseband which is the important part for unlocking. Sorry to say its just ATT until a new unlock comes out.

yea sucks for you. since they will either make an unlock for 4.1 first or if your lucky they will skip it and make an unlock for 4.2 or 4.3
