hi, my mates insurance company replaced his iphone 4 with a new one and didnt pick the damaged one up, do u reckon i can use it or do i need to change the imei number???

It is the property of the insurance company now. They should have picked it up. They rightfully own it.
You also can't change the IMEI, it's illegal.
It's an iPod...which he shouldnt even have anymore
