iphone 3g with 4.2.1 trying to unlock.. i need help!!!

so i got the iphone 3g and ive jailbroken it twice but now im on 4.2.1 and cant find out how to downgrade so i can unlock and jailbreak again....
also i have redsnow 0.9.6 ready to go,4.1 firmware for it, the ipad 3.2.2 or whatever for the baseband...
But i cant get redsnow to work it says waiting to reeboot forever!! So i guess i need to know how to downgrade, and where to get the right firmware..
PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!! I DONT WANNA PAY MONEY TO UNLOCK IT...

Make sure you are running redsnow in xp sp2 compatibility mode. Also make sure you are pointing it to the regular 4.2.1 firmware. If you still get stuck at waiting for reboot try unplugging the phone and plugging it back in.

Also make sure you have the latest version of itunes installed.

Yeah run redsn0w and browse to stk 4.2.1 and put into dfu mode, then shift + restore to Cfw of 4.2.1 by pwnage tools 4.1.3.

how do i downgrade back to 4.1. i try redsnow then browse and i put the iphine 4.1 in there,it reconizes it and get stuck with black screen in reboot...
im not real techie when it come to this..
but ive been reading and reading and reading alot of how to guides and im confused,.

So please is there anyway to put that in lamins terms?

1. downgrade to 4.1 firmware?
2. how to get redsnow to work proper? am i messin up the dfu mode?
3. how & where can i find a baseband that will work for tmobile unlock?

im a retard why did i restore my phone not once but twice!!!

First you have to know if you have 4.1 shsh blobs. Download tiny umbrella, if you have not used TU before, then you have to find out if you have shsh blogs. You have to find out your ECID and input it manually.
You can use idetector, usbview or even device manager with iphone plug in > universal bus controller and search apple mobile connect to check your ECID.
After all that is done, then click save shsh, if you don't have 4.1 shsh blobs, there is no way you can downgrade.
