I'm Spanish.
I bought an iphone 4 in a holiday in New York. my iphone is locked AT & T.
I have read that there is the possibility to have "authorized unlock".
how does it work? Can i go to a store "movistar" (my carrier) and ask for the authorized unlock of my iphone?

No, you can go and ask the authorized dealer to unlock, they don't do it for you. If you are at 4.1 , then you have to wait for a new unlock.
