Stuck to recovery mode,please help

Hello everyone, yesterday i tried to unlock iphone 3gs, off course had to upgrade to ipad BB, i did the jailbreak first, after the jailbreak the icon for cydia was just a lil white thing so i told myself let me restore it. I kept getting error 1015 with itunes, so i went in redsnow just clicked on just boot but it didnt help.
i downloaded again iTunes, created ipsw 4.1, put the phone into DFU mode, shift restore to the 4.1 i created and i get the message : iphone software server is temporarily unavailable

then i tried something else instead of using the 4.1 i created i shift restored to the 4.2 i downloaded (cause i didnt find anywhere psw 4.2) and it loads till the middle then i get error 1015, cant use tinyumbrella because the exit recovery is faded!!

Please i have been tryint to resolve this for the past 24 hours am really tired please help!

Aah, thats better, now I can see the history

You wont be able to restore to stock 4.2.1, only a custom one.
Do you have SHSH for 4.1 (sorry if I repeat what I said in the PM, like I said hard to keep track in there).

I was able to click on exit recovery( re downloaded TU)but it still comes back on the itunes logo

No i dont have the shsh for 4.1.

Ok without 4.1 SHSH then your only option is a custom 4.2.1 firmware.

You will need to go here: Dev-Team Blog

get pwnage tool 4.1.3
Also see update #3, you need that bundle to go into pwnage tool to be able to make a custom 4.2.1 for 3GS.

You will also need the stock 4.2.1 firmware which you should already have.

Make the custom 4.2.1 with pwnage tool, get pwnage tool to put the phone into pwned dfu then restore to the custom 4.2.1 you made in itunes.

I have been trying to find a way to create a custom firmware for 4.2 but am unable too, and am still stuck in recovery mode!!
no pwnage tool for 4.2.1!!
i have been trying everything so far, and i dont know what to do!!

SO HERE ARE THE STEPS FOR EVERYONE WHO GOT STUCK TO RECOVERY MODE:

1. LAUNCH REDSNOW, USE 4,2,1 ORIGINAL FIRMWARE CLICK ON PUT INTO DFU MODE,WAIT TILL THE PHONE GOES INTO DFU

2. LAUNCH ITUNES, OPTION/SHIFT RESTORE CHOOSE THE 4.2.1 CUSTOM FIRMWARE(ASK X98CAR TO SEND YOU ONE, I USED THE ONE HE SENT ME), IT WILL TAKE FEW MINUTES THEN IT WILL WORK JUST FINE!!AT FIRST IT MIGHT SHOW YOU THE EMERGENCY CALL ONLY, BUT AFTER 2 SECONDS IT WILL JUST SHOW YOU THE NORMAL SCREEN

xcar98 should i try to unlock to jailbreak it again?i had to write in capital letters, you have no idea how happy i am now!THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES!!

If you want you can jailbreak again using redsnow 0.9.6b5. It will be a tethered jailbreak if you have new bootrom though.

After using the redsn0w my phone bricked. When I try to follow the instructions from dev team blog, I can't find the pwnage tool for custom ispw. I am running Windows vista and I can not figure out how to run a pwnage tool. Dev blog says to ask for one from someone else. Can you help me?

When I launced Itunes and SHIFT+restore and used the custom firmware which you provided. It gave me Itunes error..saying that unknown error.

make sure you have latest itunes and that you are in pwned dfu mode.

I have Itunes 10.1 version and I am following the steps which comes when I try to jailbreak using redsn0w. I assume when you say pwned dfu mode is the one of the step when you put the iphone in dfu mode?

what is difference between dfu mode and pwned dfu mode?

pwned dfu is what you get by using redsnow to put the iphone into dfu (you will see a option in redsnow to do this). Without it the custom restore will not work.

didnt work.phone got struck on black screen..
