4.1 Unlock and Carrier Activation

iPhone 3gs, fw 4.1, bb 06.15.00, unlocked with ultrasnow

Im in a situation right now : I want to activate my phone with Koodo (Canada Carrier), it is compatible and unlocked. When I insert my sim card (which is activated) it says in the top left corner "No service". Is there any settings that I could do to get it working ??????????

this may not apply to you guys but i unlocked three 3G phones.
there can be as much as 5 mins delay.my t-mobil sim card say no service..then 2 mins later searching..then a few more mins it shows
t-mobil.
also when i turned off/on 3G network i would sometimes lose t-mobil signal.phone says no service for awhile

Dosent spot in this case, reason it works only with 3G on is cuz koodo use the new hspa network, and itl only work via 3G since the band is not gsm

So how do you do the activation after unlock?

My 3gs on FW 4.1 jailbroken with Limera1n and Ultrasn0w 1.2 tells me the sim card is not supported everytime I insert the sim. I tried to run the hacktivation patch but it says its incompatible with 4.1....

How do you get around this?

i'm 99% sure you can only unlock on 4.2.1 with that upgraded 06.15 baseband.read the posts!!!there's some downside to this!
pm guys like iyeow they'll confirm this.
i have not done my 3GS phones only three of my iphone3G
i'm still looking for a better solution to this booted 3GS problem
