Hey guys... so I just got a iphone 4, and i was excited to get it unlocked. i did not fully read all the instructions and proceeded to jailbreak my phone with limerain... it was jailbroken, and i used ultrasn0w to unlock it. I then realized that it was for the 3gs/3g and not the iPhone 4...
I put in my friends old micro at&t sim and i get the same thing..
I would think the at&t sim would put out AT&T ...
did i mess up the phone? i restored it again. and its still the same thing. is this normal? .. how do i fix it?
im at 4.2.1 with a 3.10.01 baseband...
and says SIM NOT PROVISIONED when i goto networks...
You can't unlock it with that baseband. You can't downgrade the baseband either. All you can do is wait for a new unlock (which we dont know when it will be released) or sell your phone and buy another with the baseband 1.59.00. There are people like me on AT&T who don't need unlock and have an iPhone 4 with an unlockable baseband.
I think apple is still signing 4.1, so go ahead and download the stock 4.1 ipsw.
Put your iphone into manual dfu mode.
Shift + restore to stock 4.1 ipsw.
When restored, your baseband should be downgraded to 02.10.xx.
Now put in the atnt card to activate.
Your friends atnt card should have service.
As for you on unofficial carrier, wait for a new unlock.
Edit : Finally , after the activation, you can jailbreak with Limera1n.
