I don't rly use my gps, so not a big deal but this batt drain is brutal... Hope this is going to be able to get resolved:S I think it has something to do with a constant search for service or something.. Not sure

Why are you guys suspecting it's Ultrasnow and not because of the new baseband?

Yea so it looks like if your phone is hacktivated which mine was.. It will demolish your battery. Last night I reloaded everything and used a friends sim to properly activate my phone and voilą, battery problem gone

See the other topic on the front page about this
Battery drain after Ultrasn0w on updated baseband
Could a mod merge the topics to cut down on the redundancy?

when i first rejbed and unlocked the phone i thought there was something majorly wrong with the software to drain the battery that fast
but then i looked through my settings and realized the process had reactivated the notifications
turned them off, battery has been able to hold a good charge for 2 days so far with constant txting

Ok so I have an official sim
Can I just put it in the phone and let it sit in there for a few hours or do I have to restore 4.2.1 again? I don't remember there being a hacktivate checkbox when I ran redsn0w so I think it auto hacktivated it.
