Cannot receive SMS or calls after 6.15 unlock
Hi,
I unlocked my iPhone using redsn0w beta 5 on the 6.15 bb. I can make calls and texts but can't receive any.
Help would be much appreciated,
Cheers

Try resetting all settings, or turning off notifications.

No luck, I can receive texts, but there is a massive delay, 20 minutes or more, and when people try to call me, it goes straight to the answer phone.

I have seen a couple people with this issue, turning off notifications helped them. If that isnt working for you then I'm not too sure what else you can try.

It is a new sim card, but has been used for the past month in a different phone, would I have to wait for it to activate itself with the iPhone or something along those lines?

Is it by any chance a Three sim? If so, try turning off 3g.

FWIW I have just JB's and unlocked a 3G on 6.15 BB using Pwnage Tool. Perhaps try that instead of RedSn0w.

Long shot, but try installing Push Doctor.
Interestingly, the 3g I just unlocked worked fine, until I installed an app that asked to turn on notifications. I turned them on and now no texts or notifications. Push Doctor hasn't fixed it.
In the UK on o2.Last edited by baskie; 11-29-2010 at 07:48 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

3GS 5.16 not receiving texts or calls
Hey guys,
I have a 3gs which i JB with Limera1n back in the day but could not unlock becausei had upgraded my baseband prior to this unlock. Once this unlock came out i went ahead and followed update #2 above and flashed the ipad firmware onto my 3gs. My problem is the following: My phone is half functioning.
I can make calls and send text messages but when it comes to receiving them that's a whole nother story. Text messages arrive 10-20 minutes after they are sent and phone calls made to my phone are sent straight to v-mail. The odd thing is i unlocked my friends 3gs last night right after mine and hers is working perfectly
.
Any help, suggestions, anyone else experiencing the same problems?
Thanks again guys
Specs: 3GS 16GB, T-Mo, Ver 4.1 (8B117), Firmware: 6.15.00
EDIT 1: Interestingly i just found out that i can receive all my text messages when i make a phone call. That is, i get no messages UNTIL i make a phone call then they all rush in. I'll keep posting my findings in hopes that some brilliant mind will know what to do

This problem seems to be gaining ground today. I would expect it to get accepted as a known issue in the next day or two, and a fix soon after that.
This is not based on me having any inside information, or having any idea what the fix is. But given previous experience with issues after a new unlock method, that seems to be the pattern.

Let's hope you are right but that it is fixed sooner than that. Still seems odd how my friends phone with the same exact specs as mine is not having said problems.

I'm pretty sure I have it working now, I installed push doctor and left notifications off and was working fine (I think :/), but when I did turn the notifications on, I failed to receive a call. For me, i think i just had to let it settle, I did change my carrier settings a couple of times, but I don't think it had anything to do with it.
