Cannot receive SMS or calls after 6.15 unlock

4.2.1 for 3g... I really need help..i need my phone back..i have to be randomly calling my wife because of my kid..please someone help..i dont know if restoring it will help it maybe will but i cant restore it since i updated the baseband..

If you want to restore you will need to use a custom 4.2.1 made with pwnage tool. Do you have access to a mac?

How do i do that?..i dont know much about this iphone thing bro...no i dont, i have windows..do i need mac in order to restore??if then im stuck here then..

You would need a mac to make a custom 4.2.1

ohhh seems like it never getting fixed..i dont know anybody that has a mac...ill reseach and see if someone has made one...it has to be for 3g right?? it cant be for 3gs

Use the custom firmware i gave you. To install it you need to run redsnow first to put the phone in pwned dfu.

That guide was for 4.1 but the basics are the same.

I got bored of reading all the replys as I solved my problem but pretty much what @Bikingman said worked for me on 3gs old bootrom 6.15.00 4.1.

I reckon my problem was the SAM activation.. it seemed to break incoming calls/SMS. Only problem was installing push doctor kept erroring - luckily I have my certs so I used ./inject

It is always a good idea to get an official sim to trigger your iphone into Homescreen and if your BB can be unlock, after installing Ultrasn0w, you will be activated and will have no problems.
All those tools to hactivate seems to have problems one sort or the other.

Yeah true, I did get myself an AT&T sim from ebay but I lent it out and never got it back. I could get another one but I don't really need it. Oh also I think my GPS is broken (not that I really care)
