Alright, sooo I just got a custom 4.1 firmware and restored my iphone using it.
I turned off 3g, installed ultrasn0w, and then rebooted my phone but it's still searching for signal.
Yes, I am on baseband 6.15.00 and using 4.1 firmware. 3GS.
Also, my carrier is T-Mobile..
Please help, this is my only phone that I can use right now.

try installing pushfix from cydia for t-mobil problems it has ALL you need also try turning 3g feature on and off
ck my posts about t-mobil issues also sometimes t-mobil doesn't work with the 3G option on

I can't install it, it gives me an error.
/var/cache/apt/archives/com.pushfix.pushfi2_2.11_iphoneos-arm.deb
subprocess pre-installation script returned error exit status 1

forget pushfix 2.0 it never worked for me.my guess is was for 2.0's firmware.
try installing just the pushfix migration.
if still a no go you're gonna have to install the source (pushfix.info)
it not hard at all.the pushfix package has a bunch of fixes.carriers, wifi, mms and youtube fixes.
to add it go to cydia/manage/source/edit/add then a popup screen appears.
enter cydia.pushfix.info
install, reboot cydia then search for pushfix
also under manage/source pushfix should be right at the top.scroll through and you'll see all the fixes you can install

I did download it at the source, I also downloaded migration but there's no change. No app on my home page, etc.
Don't you have to buy it?

i've seen that on the pushfix web site.it's like 5-6 bucks.
i never had to buy it.the package on cydia has fixed every problem i've had.if one thing didn't work then i tried something else.
if you're using t-mobil,turn the 3G option off in setting/general/network.
pushfix also has a carrier reset fix and a t-mobil mms fix
i did notice that it takes 2-5 mins for my phones to recognize the t-mobil sim card.
it'll say no service for a while...then searching... for a while then bam! t-mobil
FYI.i did all the phones on windows xp with antivirus and spyware disabled.
if you're still having t-mobil problems a guy here posted that and he somehow got a t-mobil tech to fix it over the phone.something was turned off on his phone

Hmm. I downloaded that carrier reset fix but nothing new really changed. I can't dl any of the other stuff from them cause, when i'm done downloading it, there's no new app on the springboard or whatever. Or there's that error I posted before. And I've left it on for way longer than 5 minutes, lol.
Uhh lol yeah calling a t-mobile tech is highly unlikely, parent's don't want them to know I'm using it. It costs extra or something.

don't call t-mobil!!!! LOL
i figured if you still had problems you could search the posts and pm the guy.
there's no icon for the pushfix fixes.they're installed in the background in cydia.there's usually a green check mark to show they're installed
at this point i'm stumped! i'm gonna guess there's something on your pc that's interfering with redsnow
i'd reinstall redsnow again
here's something i copied from another iphone web site
maybe this will help

GUYS WHO ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH ” REDSNOW ERROR AND CRUSHING ” PLEASE READ :
because i am a genius lol and i can figure things out myself in life ,anyhow if you are on windows 7 or vista , what u need to do is , right click on redsnow and choose “TROUBLESHOOT COMPATIBILITY” then your system will choose to run redsnow on WINDOWS XP 2 and that fixed the problem for Redsnow crushing , yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I can run redsn0w fine without compatibility mode, but just for safe measures, I tried it with compatibility mode + admin mode on.
No difference, still no service. Although, while driving to school I had service for a short amount of time, but when I tried to send a text, it said "This network could not be activated" or something

well you definetly got me stumped on this one.you must be running vista(a piece of crap) or windows seven.
you're missing something somewhere!!!
i've jail broken/unlocked almost 30 phones since this summer and i've always come out smelling like a rose because of pushfix.
unless one of the mods can chime in with a solution,i'd suggest you redo the whole process on a buddy's pc...preferably one still running windows XP
GOOD LUCK!!!
ps did you update to 4.2.1 or just pointed redsnow at 4.1? that might be the problemLast edited by insomnia1; 12-01-2010 at 07:52 PM.

Try typing in your APN! All that info to help! Check updated carrier bundles from SpookyET, (check his post)
But, I'd first reset network settings, NOT THE PHONE! Then I'd put back in my APN epc.Tmobile.com
Then I would restart, and pull sim, put back in.
Getting push to wrk, jailbrake and restore with your A&tt sim installed! Then when all done, swap out your sim! Unlock with ultrasn0w!
Try it, msg me!New unibody Macbook Pro, the jacked Model.. Iphone 2G, and 3G, 3G's, And 4G.

I don't have an AT&T sim..

But, I did try doing SpookyET's bundle, none of it worked for me. Unless I'm installing them wrong, because there are many to choose from. I chose VPN, and that didn't work. so then I did prepaid
Just tried this, didn't work.
My dad's sim card is AT&T.. and his worked perfectly. I installed ultrasn0w and reset the phone, and he still had service. I put my T-Mobile sim in, but no luck -- still searching.Last edited by helloviet; 12-02-2010 at 10:03 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
