[HELP] unlock iPhone 3G 4.2.1 with BB 5.15.04 !

Hello There,

I updated my iPhone to 4.2.1 recently and the baseband was updated to 5.15.04. I know the new ultras0w is released and the only way to update my baseband is if I use pwnagetool to create a custom 4.2.1 ipsw that updated my baseband to the new 6.15 to unlock using ultrasn0w 1.2.

IF ANYONE WHO OWNS A MAC, COULD HELP AND CREATE A IPSW FOR iPhone3G 4.2.1 USING THE NEW PWNAGETOOL AND UPLOAD IT THAT WOULD BE HELPFUL. PLEASE AND THANK YOU.

Hello , I'm in the same situation, I'm stuck at baseband 5.14.2 , ios 3.1.3
the only solution I guess to unlock my 3g iphone is to upgrade baseband to 6.15 .
but I've read in some threads that a new release is coming soon , and it will allow to unlock my baseband and there will be no need to upgrade to 6.15 .
is that true ?

New unlock is coming for iPhone 4. No word on whether it will work on 5.14.02 baseband though.

I have the same problem. My 3gs is stucked on BB 5.15.04. I'm waiting 2 months for unlock allready, every day I'm closer to idea of upgradeing to IPADs BB. Does enyone know approximately when will unlock for 5.15.04 be available?

Musclenerd actually just tweeted that the unlock looks like it will work on 5.14 and 5.15 but iPhone 4 is the priority right now.

I have a jailbroken 3GS running ios4.2.1 and BB 5.15.04. I would like to unlock the phone but have not been successful. I tried following the instruction to get 6.15.00 installed but when running pwnage 4.13 whenever I point to either the 4.21 ipsw, pwnage says the wrong ipsw is being selected.

Can you help me?

Just use redsnow 0.9.6rc8 if you want to install the ipad baseband. Much easier.

Thanks for the quick reply. I ran redsn0w 0.9.6rc8 and selected the baseband update. It ran fine but now I cannot open Settings. The phone otherwise is working (still no cell service). It just returns to Home after a few seconds of a blank window.

I rebooted and it now opened settings. I now have BB 6.15 but no cell service (Tmo)

Actually, there is a problem. Settings mostly just returns and there is no cell service. I got into settings once but not again.

Hey, i've been reading a lot but everythings confusing me. Can someone help me unlock my phone?

What i know so far...

1) Jailbreak with redsn0w 0.9.6rc8 on a windows comp
then
2) Unlock with ultrasn0w from Cydia

First check what bootloader you have with f0recast.

The thing is i don't have the phone yet. I'm buying it off of craigslist as i need a phone for overseas. I needed to make sure i could unlock it before i bought it. So theres no way for me to check the bootloader. Thanks by the way for the immediate responses.
