[How To] Check if you can Unlock

I have an interesting update on my request to at&t.

I faxed my Iphone4 unlock request Monday and got at&t response Thur. Here is the email detail.

I though my unlock request got accepted. But when I called the no above but the operator told me at&t denied!!!

I asked any reason for denying my request and the operator couldn't provide any reason!!!! Now I have just re-submitted my request again.

Dont know about blacklisted but if you list your specs I can tell you your options for unlocking.

I tried an unlocking service on ebay but the was not able to to get it unlocked .

They are legit and can get it done pretty quickly.

Hey just double checking, I have a customers iphone 4 from japan and i assume it was locked to a japan carrier called "softbank", it's on version 5.0.1 and bb 4.11.08. I have a Gevey ultra and got no success, the baseband is probably to high right? what other option do i have now to unlock it?

Only the carrier it is locked to can unlock that.

Is there anyway I can check where the carrier? My phone was purchased from a local mobile shop. And AT&T claimed the IMEI is not valid to unlock.

Yes, it's AT&T. But they replied me my number is not a valid AT&T IMEI.

I dunno then. All I can say is try again or use someone like: Unlock iPhone, Official iPhone Unlock, Apple iTunes Unlock
to unlock it

Um, I would assume so, but I have never made a video whenever I have used them so don't know that first hand.
