iPhone 3G 5.14.02 Unlock
Hi, I have an iPhone 3G (MB Model) and I have successfully jailbroken and unlocked on other firmwares but have now had some trouble, I unlocked my phone using a custom firmware that i mad in sn0wbreeze and i then used iReb and restored in iTunes 10. I am on firmware 4.1 and unfortunately have the baseband 5.14.02, I have tried dozens of ways to unlock my phone but have had no luck. I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I am in the UK and hoping to unlock my phone to use an orange sim. Thanks.

There is no way to unlock that baseband right now. There should be before the end of the month though so just hold tight a bit.

It's never going to come out! I've been reading "any time now", "tomorrow for sure", "sometime next week", for the past two months now! I hate apple!

The unlock for 5.14.x baseband (installed with 4.1 firmware) is expected soon.
But DON'T upgrade, or don't upgrade without a custom firmware else you'll be waiting a lot longer

Unlock Baseband 05.14.02 TODAY or TOMORROW - Ultrasn0w
Actually, it sounds like "today or tomorrow." Very encouraging.
It's called "decaf." Stay calm.

Cannot wait for this update. Is there anything us newbies can do to prepare for the update so we can have all the software and programs necessary to do the unlock?

If you are on a 3G on 4.1 then you need to use redsnow. At least version 0.9.6b2 I believe.

Can I use redsnow for windows version as well? Where do I find the link for redsnow version to download and step by step?
Thanks
EDIT: I have T-Mobile so I read somewhere you cannot unlock with redsnow if you want to use T-Mobile. Is this true?Last edited by Shavon; 11-24-2010 at 01:27 PM.

Okay thanks, one last question. I use T-Mobile and on the instructions page is says:
"Do not use this tutorial if you need the unlock as there is no unlock for iOS 4.1 baseband yet. Instead, wait for the release of PwnageTool."
I really need the unlock as well so what would be my best option here? Will the upcoming Ultrasnow unlock work to unlock the jailbreak I'm about to do with Redsnow?
