im sure this question is everywhere....but im about to buy a friends iphone 3g and its on 4.1 and 05.14.02.........is it jailbrakable and unlockable? i have tmobile. and if not....when do people think the unlock will be available?

Jailbreak yea, unlock maybe (depending if you can downgrade the baseband, or wait for the new unlock)

If the price was fair , I would buy it and wait for an unlock. An unlock is likely to come very soon . If not, then it becomes an iPod and didn't cost too much
