new iphone 4

i really dont know if im putting this in the right section but i just bought a brand spanking new iphone 4 32gig from the west 14th street apple store for 699.99 and i was wondering if its possible to unlock it. i dont have the phone in hand right now but most likely its 4.1 firmware cuzz as far as i know 4.2 hasnt come out yet and im planning on useing the iphone 4 with a shitty cell provider here in costa rica "god i hate this monopoly" most likely the phone hasnt been activated will be getting it on the 23rd when my sister comes and visits me now if i cant unlock it or jailbreak it for that matter will i be able to use this ipad 3g att sim card that i have to activate it? thanks o and the part number is MC319LL/A

Well you can't unlock the new iphone on 4.1 iight now but you can jailbreak it.

About activete the iphone 4 using the ipad i have no idea...

about unlock your iphone on 4.1 maybe by the end of this months you will be able to unlock it

i thought that activateing the iphone was hard thought it would ask for a lot more info.. all it did was ask for my apple is and bam activated with the included sim card now just need to wait for a ultrasn0w to come out... hopefully it does come out soon my iphone 3g is dieing

The unlock for iphone 4 will not be so soon, nothing has been mentioned about the 02.10.04 baseband , only for 3g and 3gs baseband.

But who knows, could be a surprise.
