Unlocked iPhone 4 says signal but doesn't work

Please someone help a girl in London with a non working phone...

I have an iPhone running on 4.1 that I jail broke with Pwnage 4.1.2 and unlocked to read my O2 sim card.

It says I have service signal and wifi, but I'm not receiving texts or calls or push. I can send texts and make calls though.

I tried restoring as a new phone, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Ultrasn0w. I even tried a the rep at the O2 store's sim card it wouldn't read that one either. Please Help...

Didn't mean to double post, it was an accident thats what I get for using a mobile dongle..

My base band is 1.59

Do you have the 4.0 or 4.0.1 shsh blogs, if you have restore to the stock of 4.0 or 4.0.1 so that you reflash your baseband, then jailbreak with jailbreakme 2.0 and unlock with ultrasn0w to see if this solve the issue. If it does then restore to pwnage 4.1 and unlock again.
The reason i am asking you to do this is because your baseband may need a reflash again.

I'm new to the whole jail breaking unlocking thing so I don't know if I have SHSH blog.

I originally jail broke with limera1n when I got the phone it was on 4.0.2

Download tiny umbrella, plug your iphone in and on the left side select your device name and bottom right click save shsh, you will see if you have it.

But I thought jailbreakme wont work on 4.0.2

If you only have 4.0.2, you can use limera1n at 4.0.2.
So do you have any shsh blogs, or open up Cydia, the front page , words in Green, tell me what you see about shsh

Wow, you didn't even get 4.1 SHSH blobs from Cydia? Only 4.2beta3? Weird

Your screen cap image, it only has "SHSH: iOS 4.2b3" at the top - nothing about 4.1 even. That seems weird.



P.S. Given your experience I certainly am now hesitant to move my iPhone 4 (BB 01.59.00/4.0.1/JailbreakMe/ultrasn0w) to 4.1!

Celina, you should download tiny umbrella, highlight your device on the left side and click save shsh.
Yes, it is very weird, Apple is still signing 4.1 , it doesn't make sense you cannot get 4.1 shsh blogs.

Do what yeow said it should work also ur really lucky to have 1.59.00 and if u have no luck stay at 4.0 or 4.0.2 you should be glad.

Her first post said she went from 4.0.2 to 4.1. Hard to go back without 4.0.1/4.0.2 SHSH blobs. She'll have to see what TinyUmbrella does.

In fact, she can't restore to 4.0 or 4.0.2 to reflash her 1.59.xx baseband. In other words, if the 1.59.xx is corrupted, then she will have to go to the next baseband which is 2.10.xx and if there is no unlock, her iphone will be locked out.
She might now be able even to restore to 4.1 without shsh, in fact the only way to find out is to try and download the 4.1 shsh blogs from Apple onto her computer
