iPhone 4 (4.1) Limera1n help!!

I'm trying to unlock an iphone 4 (4.1) to work on Bell Mobility up in Canada. The phone is an AT&T carrier. I ran Limera1n and got cydia installed. I'm getting the error in itunes that says sim card is invalid for carrier. Do I need to hacktivate through cydia? I have the AT&T sim and a Bell sim. Sorry for the noob questions.

Did you buy the phone already in 4.1? If you or the previous owner didn't take steps to preserve the baseband while updating to 4.1, then you won't be able to unlock it.

Thanks for the fast reply Pitts. My phone is running modem firmware 02.10.04.

Yea I bought it with 4.1 on it already.

Will there be a way to unlock it in the near future? I thought I read somewhere that greenpois0n and limera1n were supposed to hacktivate as well. I'm clearly a noob so I apologize for all the questions.

Limera1n will jailbreak your iPhone 4. Unlock is only possible if 1.59.00 baseband was preserved when updating to 4.1 but sadly your iPhone 4 came with 4.1 so you just have to wait for an unlock. Sorry man

I believe iPhone-dev-team is working on unlock for 02.10.04 but it will not be released until after firmware 4.2 sometime next month

Hi i have firmware 4.0.2 on my iphone 4. I used limera1n yesterday and everythings working fine but i cannot unlock it ultrasn0w did nothing! Any ideas? Thanks

Well i downloaded it through cydia then installed and restarted. Am i missing a step?

did you restart with the bell sim inside the phone?

hey guys!
i have a problem! I have an iPhone 4 on 4.1 with preserved baseband 01.59.00 which is locked to at&t. i jailbreaked it with limera1n and unlocked it with ultrasn0w. it worked for 24 hours but then it just said "no service" and then "no sim". i reentered the sim dozens of times and i even restored it and did the whole process again but it still always says "no sim" although there is one inside...
i have no idea what to do.
please help! its my only phone and i need it soon!

If it says no SIM then the problem is most likely with ur SIM. U probably didn't align/cut it right..try re-aligning, it should be centered. Or get a new SIM

No i restarted it first with a dits phonebook sim then put my meteor sim in and the itunes icon came up

Ireland it works fine without any sim or with the phonebook sim but wen i put my meteor sim in that slide for emergency screen comes up. Yea ive activated it with the phonebook sim
