3GS 4.02 to 4.1 baseband preserve

yes sn0wbreeze works wil 3gs and it will preserve your baseband, but i recommend version 2.0.2 because 2.0.1 had issues with hacktivation not working.

iwoowiz is still down. does anyone know if theres an alternative repo that has jbme2pwn in it? its the only thing holding me up in going to 4.1 .

nevermind... i just saw that the site and the repo is under maintenance... the repo url is changing to repo.iwoowiz.net... but! you could still try to download from the old repo...

i just added that repo to my cydia and it went through just fine.

The repo i added is repo.woowiz.net. it adds just fine, i just can't download ANY files in it i get 404 not found.

UPDATE:
I just went to the site and used google chrome to translate it and it says:

" Repository site is under maintenance! Soon the site will move to the new repository will http://www.iwoowiz.net and repo.iwoowiz.net

We apologize for the inconvenience but we'll get along with many new services"

UPDATE 2:
I tried with both old and new repos; old repo says 404 not found, and new repo brings back error code 2 in cydia when adding the source.

I think im going to stick with 4.0.1 and just wait for a legit 4.1 unlock. i will thank all that helped though.

Good decision. Pwnage tool will be out on Sunday and should work for you to create a customer version of 4.1 to update the FW without updating the BB.

Without it you won't be able to use custom firmware
