3Gs Unlock doesnt work on O2 locked phones?

I have a 3Gs on 4.0.1 locked to O2 UK. It doesnt matter how many times I run ultrasnow, it will not unlock. It will install fine but after the obligatory restart it still goes back to "this sim is not supported blabla"

I know O2 UK now unlocks their phones for 15GBP. But im not in the UK and wont be there until Feb next year.

Has anyone been able to unlock a 3Gs on O2 UK?

Itunes says that when I hook it up. After I activate (With a phone book card) and jailbreak and unlock with ultrasnow, as soon as I put a SIM card in the phone it goes back to the "Connect to itunes" symbol

Because you use phonebook card you need to go to pushfix in cydia and install activation patch. Should solve your problem.

You need to install hacktivation patch in cydia. Add the source cydia.pushfix.info to find it.
