So i have an iphone 3g (stupidly) restored it so it went to 4.1 successfully downgraded back to 4.0 its jailbroken but my baseband is 05.14.02 which is why ultrasn0w isnt working for me i've been trying to figure this out for the past couple of days scouring the forums and i'm hopelessly confused at this point (yes the phone is activated) if i have to restore and start all over I dont mind I just want someone to help me downgrade the baseband if thats even possible or maybe I've just screwed myself over until redsn0w comes out with the new jailbreak for windows. help would be appreciated <3

if you updated the baseband then thats ur issue right there and there is nothing as of now to do

sn0wbrease ih8sn0w.com for windows will jailbreak 4.1 as for the unlock install fuzzyband from cydia it will tell you if you if you can downgrade the baseband. If you have 5.8 you can downgrade if you have 5.9 you will have to wait for the next unlock.

i don't understand what your problem is. You have a firmware version that can be JB with jailbreakme.com and you have a baseband that can be unlocked with ultrasn0w from Cydia. Why do you want to go back you are in a good situation.

Haha it's there in black and White my wifes IPhone says unrecognised sim please connect to iTunes even tho I have used ultrasnow to unlock it it's there on the phone do I need to connect the phone to the pc it was actavated on the firstime

All fuzzyband says on both my iPhones is ready for ultrasnow but on 1 of mt iPhones it wants to connect to iTunes when I out a different sim in the other is ok the only difference is 4.0 on 1 of them base band same on both and 4.0.1 is the 1 that don't like none o2 sim

No need to hactivate if you can borrow a friends sim for the original carrier (doesn't need to be active). Only needed for a couple of mins to connect to itunes and it's done.

dont understand that 1 the phone is already active on orange unlocked with ultrasnow and jb but when i put in my o2 sim it says sim not reconised conect to itunes, my o2 phone is also unlocked jb and works on orange sim as well it did not say sim not reconised so why did my wifes phone not work its on the same base band as my o2 phone but the differance is my wife's is on 4.0.1 wheres mine is 4.0 is that why. il try to conect it to itunes in the mean time

how come i have to connect my wifes iphone to itunes for unlock to work i did not need to do that with my iphone the only diferance is 4.0.1 on my wifes mine is 4.0 and borh on baseband 5.13.04
