Unlocking iphone 3g IOS 4.1 . HELP PLEASE

Hello

i have a iphone 3G currently jailbroken with redsnow and unlocked with ultrasnow on ios 4.0.1 baseband: 5.13.04

i would like to upgrade to ios 4.1

if i use snwbreeze 2.0.2 will i be able to jailbreak and still unlock with ultrasnow?

i really rely on unlock as im using my iphone with a prepaid sim (simple mobile)

i would just stay on 4.0.1 but is slow to the poiunt oif barely functioning. i checked all around the net and there is no clear answer anywhere .

please any one who knows please tell me. i dont want to risk locking my iphone

As long as you use a custom firmware with no baseband update you should be fine.

Just make sure you shift+restore (and not just click restore by itself) to the custom firmware.

thank you x98 i just downloaded sn0wbreeze 2.0.2 and the 4.1 firmware from redmond pie and made a custom firmware in sn0wbreeze. im about to backup my iphone and take the plunge. ill be back with my results

hey also i have a mac and windows laptop ... i (odviously) made the custom ios on the windows but i have my iphone and everything synced with my mac. can i just put the custom ios on the mac and restore it to my iphone?

Yes you can use a custom firmware on either.

i had to use iREB before I could restore with itunes, otherwise it kept getting stuck on preparing iphone for restore.

ive noticed a definite improvement in speed. thats why i updated. 4.0 was really slow.

I'm not sure about the battery life. I've been extensively using my phone lately more than I used to, so I really can't test that. Have you noticed an improvement?

yea. on 3.1.3 i charge before i go to bed and unplug at 630am. by 730pm im at 10% or less.

on 4.1 i charge before i go to bed, unplug at 630 and at 10% or less by around 930pm using wifi, edge, playing games, listening to music

yea my battery is pretty much beast now ^_^

I have iPhone 3G OS 4.1, 05.14.02. - jailbroken, but I can't unlock it for other carriers. I've installed ultrasn0w, but iPhone couldn't find network and blocked. im jb/ul with a 3G on 4.0.2 right now but im gonna give this tutorial a shot in about 15 minutes, ill let you know the results, im sure everything will run smoothly.
