I've got a 4.1 3GS sitting here that's pretty much been a paperweight for the past couple weeks (newbootrom, it's a mess I know. Got it off craigslist and blah, blah blah yada yada). A friend of mine that owns an Apple store around town claims that he can still unlock it, but I'm confused as hell as to how the hell he's going to do this without jailbreaking it or anything.
Wanted to know if he can really do it, or if he just THINKS he can do it. I'm pretty sure there's no possible way to unlock it as of yet, at least not from where I stand. Is there really something he can do that us average joes can not?
