Default Iphone t-mo/ looses signal then says invalid Sim

Wonder if anyone can help me. Recently i have been having problems with my iphone 4 connectivity. It is on 4.0.1 jb/unlocked. Almost daily now the phone will loose signal and then it won't come back unless i pull the sim card out a few different times. Sometimes i even have to re-install ultrasnow and do a hard reboot.

I have even had to reboot and it will go into a safe mode? What does this mean?

    Can anyone help.

MMS used to work but now it doesn't, Data network sometimes works.

Its not your phone. At least I dont think it is. For 3 days now I get No Service or the GPRS instead of Edge or no bars on T-Mobile. Might just be T-Mobile.

    Default Invalid SIM message

Just this morning I got an "invalid SIM" error. Odd. It's worked perfectly until now? The only thing I've done differently is add the MyWifi tethering feature - could that be causing it?

Does anyone know if SIM cards just quit after so long?
