Confused! Iphone4

Hi..i am about to get an iphone4 from my company locked on vodaphone. I dont know if it will be on 4.0.1 or 4.0.2...
can i jailbreak and unlock this phone? do tools exist already?

If it's on 4.0.1 you can jailbreak. If it's on 4.0.2 you can't.

If the iPhone 4 is on 4.0.1 then you can use jailbreakme.com to jailbreak and and install ultrasn0w for unlock.

If the iPhone 4 is on 4.0.2 you can download Tiny Umbrella and use that to check to see if it has shsh saved for 4.0.1 on Cydia (always worth a try) which would then allow you to downgrade to 4.0.1 - if not you are stuck with the rest of the iPhone 4 buyers (myself included) who got devices post 4.0.2 and thus had it pre installed - no way to downgrade so we can only sit and wait for 4.1 (next week)and hope a jailbreak and maybe unlock will be released not long after.

It's also worth noting if you plan on unlocking, that you might need to hang onto a sim card for the carrier it is locked to - because IF a future jailbreak was to be browser based you would need to activate the iPhone first to then perform the jailbreak and unlock
