    Default help with unlocking my iphone 3g!

    i just got it jailbroken, im on the 4.0.2 firmware. i heard you can still unlock it. how do i do it?! i read the guide and the first step is to turn wifi on and connect to my network....but no networks are popping up

    If no networks are popping up then you're not in range or your SSID is not being broadcast.

    im in range of my router, so what is an SSID and how do i fix it

    Your ssid is the name of your network. You sure your wifi is working?

    yes, im on my laptop now and my ipod touch is also connected. could this mean i did the jailbreaking thing wrong at all?

    i've restarted my iphone, router, and modem, no difference
