new i phone 4 with at&t

Ok, so here is my question that i am a little confused on, i have an iphone 3g through at&t that is jailbroken, I ordered a new iphone 4 through apple and it will be here on tuesday, when I activate it via itunes will itunes force me to update to the new 4.02 software to activate the iphone 4? if so is there any way around this since my current iphone is on 4.01 and I want to keep that since I am assuming that my iphone 4 shipped before the new 4.02 software was released it will have that on it and i want to keep that for jailbreaking the phone. any help would be appreciated.

Activation IP4 thru Itunes should not require you to update to current firmware 4.0.2. Itunes will say that 4.0.2 is available to update, but unless you click update button in itunes, the IP4 should stay at the firmware that it was shipped.
