iPhone 3GS Weird problem...

Hello guys, Im here again with a new problem :/ I hope you guys can help me out

I recently got a replacement unit from Apple, after having a 3GS for a year whose internal board died...I got it replaced, and the new unit was working fine...I had it jailbroken with spirit and unlocked on firmware 3.1.3 and then I saw the new developments, made sure everything was safe and I decided I will update to 4.0.1 and jailbreak and unlock as everybody is doing...

Well, it didn't work as I expected...when trying to update the phone, I was encountered with error 1611...my phone was stuck in recovery mode after that...and iTunes won't let me u[date anymore, only restore...I tried uninstalling iTunes, installing an older version of iTunes, all of this with no success...

Then I tried putting the phone in DFU mode, didn't work either...

Now, because it didn't really update, I was wondering if I could kick the phone out of DFU, but from what I have read, tis is not possible anymore...I checked the services running, Apple Mobile Device, and Bonjour, and iPod, and all of them are started...

I tried deleting anything apple and itunes related, even old backups and everything, with no success...I tried restoring to 3.1.3 but I get error 3194 because of the signatures...

My phone is an iPhone 3GS with the new bootrom...

And the error Im getting is Error 1611, trying to restore to 4.0.1...

Any help will be greatly appreciatted

I can't restore to 4.0.1...it gives me the same error 1611...

An Update though..I was able to kick the phone out of DFU and Recovery mode, and now I can boot normal 3.1.3...I still want to update my phone though and I keep getting the error, no matter what I do

It might be time to take it back to Apple again? Go from stock 3.1.3 to 4.0.1 and take it in that condition?

no SHSHs on file, no restore to 3.1.x. Actually i dont think 3GS phones can do this even with SHSHs anymore.

Error 1600's:

USB issue related. Try on a diff comp or diff USB port after rebooting your comp.

Itunes gave you errors 16XX meaning you are still at 3.1.3 since the restore has not gone through yet. You are still in recovery loop, Use the latest tiny umbrella to kick you out of this recovery mode. You can also use irecovery, ireb 3.1.2 or even quickpwn22 to kick you out of recovery.
