How to Unlock my iPhone 3GS on iOS4.0?

I am reading about the Phonebook SIM to get past the emergency unlock screen, then using jailbreakme.com, but I also read that the Phonebook SIM is now patched...

What is the best way to unlock my iPhone 3GS 4.0 at this point? I think it has the new bootrom =(

I would get a sim from the original carrier - you can buy them on ebay. Otherwise, use a phonebook sim and do this.

Then do what I did here:

3GS new bootrom 3.1.3-> 4.0

It's your standard SIM card - unfortunately it's not marked I think.
