iPhone 4 unlock worked, and then stopped?

so I activated my phone long before apple changed something, using a DITS card. worked great.
then the jailbreak came out, worked great.
2 days later, the unlock was released, I installed it, and it worked great! as you can see here:

but
today i woke up and my carrier is gone, and can't be found..

any ideas whats going on?

EDIT 2: FIXED, the problem was the settings under network - cell data and 3G was off, turned it on, and nows all is well again..

weak, now i get "Invalid SIM" :-\ after i had signal issues and "No service", and open and reinserted the sim..

so I'm getting invalid SIM, but the phone is still unlocked..

Try a different sim card from the same carrier.

well I gave this a go:

and so far so good, the phone seems to work great again. I keep declining the "carrier update" and see if it stays good that way..

and its an AT&T and i dont have a sim.. already paid for the dits, so let hope i wont need to purchase another sim..
