Cydia/Unlock difficulties on 3GS iOS4.0, please help moving to Europe tomorrow

I unlocked my 3GS on 4.0 with the jailbreakme.com jb and everything seemed to work fine, but generally whenever i open cydia it times out or something anytime it tries to download packages or upgrade something and only a few things will actually load

I did manage to go into sources and install ultrasn0w 0.93--is my phone unlocked?? Sorry if i am being a noob here. Will i be able to purchase a sim card in Prague tomorrow and put it in phone without difficulties? Thanks a bunch

The Cydia servers are being hammered with everyone trying to jailbreak and unlock. It's probably ok, just try it late at night or something and see if it works better. Also update essentials at minimum. Yes, you should be unlocked if you installed ultrasn0w. Don't know about the particular sim, but you have a good chance.
