unlocking a 3gs that has been jailbroken for awhile

I was told that even tho it has been awhile since I jailbroke my 3gs (3.1.2 jailbroke with spirit) spoofed to 3.1.3 that I can still unlock it without starting over. Is this true and if so, how? Reading the posts on here concerning unlocking it says, turn off 3g and run ultrasnow. Is that all there is to it?

Yes thats all you have to do. You only have to turn 3G off if the carrier you are going to be using it with does not have a compatible 3G network (ie. T-Mobile in the US).

Yes that is all there is to it. Open Cydia select manage then sources and select the repo666 and you will find ultasn0w there. then just run it and you are done.
